Job summary

Our client in Gateshead is seeking an ICT Support Engineer to join a busy IT team. The role focuses on delivering first-class technical support, troubleshooting complex issues and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include handling incidents, configuring workstations, troubleshooting hardware/software/network issues and maintaining asset records. Fluent English and service desk experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as ICT/IT Support Engineer or similar.
• Strong knowledge of Windows operating systems and network infrastructure.
• Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills.
• Fluent English and experience in a service desk environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage incidents and service requests through the Service Desk system.
• Install, configure, maintain and support PCs, mobile devices, printers and other workplace technology.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software and network-related issues.
• Perform user administration and access management activities.
• Maintain ICT asset records, inventories and equipment lifecycle management.
• Support backup processes, data restoration activities and routine system maintenance.
• Analyse service desk trends and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
