Job summary

GSL Education is seeking an ICT SEN Teacher for a Southend specialist SEN school on a part-time basis with an ASAP or September start. You will plan and deliver ICT lessons tailored to diverse needs, differentiate instruction, and foster an inclusive classroom where pupils build digital literacy and confidence.

The role supports collaboration with SEN staff and therapists, monitoring progress against EHCP targets while maintaining a calm, nurturing learning environment. DBS checks required.

Qualifications

• QTS/QTLS or equivalent qualification required.
• Experience teaching ICT or Computing in a school setting preferred.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Flexible, patient and creative teaching approach.
• Experience in SEN considered a plus but not essential.

ICT SEN Teacher - SEN School - Southend | Part-Time | ASAP or September Start

Are you a passionate ICT Teacher looking to make a real difference in a specialist SEN setting?

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic ICT SEN Teacher to join a welcoming SEN school in Southend on a part-time basis, with an ASAP or September start. This is an exciting opportunity to teach and inspire pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD), Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Speech, Language & Communication Needs (SLCN), and other complex learning needs.

The Role

As an ICT SEN Teacher, you will:

• Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons tailored to the individual needs and abilities of pupils
• Differentiate learning to ensure every pupil can access the curriculum and achieve success
• Create a positive, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment
• Support pupils in developing digital literacy, confidence, independence, and life skills
• Work collaboratively with Teaching Assistants, SENCOs, Therapists, and the wider multidisciplinary team
• Monitor, assess, and celebrate pupil progress against individual learning targets and EHCP outcomes
• Promote positive behaviour, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in learning

What We're Looking For

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS/QTLS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching ICT or Computing
• A genuine passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs
• Strong classroom management and communication skills
• A flexible, patient, and creative approach to teaching
• Previous SEN experience is desirable but not essential; mainstream teachers with a passion for SEND are encouraged to apply

• £150-£350 per day (depending on experience)
