Job summary

The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow is seeking a Project Manager to lead ICT projects, manage budgets and schedules, and ensure trained staff for delivery. You will coordinate internal and external teams, monitor risks, and uphold project management standards throughout the College.

The role requires Prince2/PM qualifications, strong communication, and a proactive, accountable approach in a hybrid Glasgow setting. Initially fixed term to 30 April 2027, 35 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Formal Project Management Qualification (e.g. Prince2 Foundation, PPM, Agile Scrum).
• Project management experience delivering ICT initiatives.
• Self-motivated with strong accountability.
• Analytical, problem solving and planning skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Commercial awareness at project level.
• Enthusiasm for information technology and technical concepts.
• Commitment to personal excellence, integrity and ethics.
• Excellent planning and resource management abilities.
• Understanding and management of project change.
• Excellent report writing and analysis skills.
• Solid knowledge of project applications such as MS Project, Asana, Visio, PowerPoint, Word, Excel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver ICT projects with oversight of quality, timescales and budgets.
• Ensure appropriate training for staff and third-party providers on the project.
• Manage project teams, risks and change controls throughout the lifecycle.
• Promote and implement strong project management practices across the College.
