ICT Design Engineer - Passive & Building Systems

Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the UK is seeking an ICT Engineer to contribute to passive infrastructure and building systems design for multiple clients. You will manage the full design lifecycle from concepts through documentation and will liaise with contractors and suppliers.

Strong experience in AutoCAD, MS Office and project planning is valued; working towards CEng is preferred. Security clearance and UK work rights are required for this role.

Qualifications

• ICT design and project management experience and qualifications, such as an Engineering degree, Cisco qualifications, APMP, NVQs, HNC or HND, or Modern Apprenticeship.
• Working towards or have attained CEng status.
• Knowledge and experience of: Copper and fibre infrastructure systems and standards, Data Centre design and standards, OSP & ISP design and standards, Small power and BS7671 requirements, Building systems such as Access Control, Intruder Detection, CCTV, Fire Detection/Suppression and HVAC.

Responsibilities

• Passive ICT design work including AutoCAD designs and writing technical documents and specifications.
• Building systems design work including AutoCAD designs and writing technical documents and specifications.
• Liaison with other contractors, companies, suppliers and internal engineering disciplines.
• Have past experience and proven competence in passive system design on large and small projects.
• Support bid work, including assisting with responses to PQQ and ITT.
