Job summary

Saffery Champness in Inverness invites school leavers to join the Accounts/Audit Trainee (ICAS) programme, commencing September 2027. You’ll undertake a four-year training contract with full support, pursuing the ICAS qualification and benefiting from a Kaplan-designed development path, with on-the-job learning and structured tuition.

You’ll start in either Accounts or Audit, gaining diverse experience, and you’ll complete the ICAS syllabus with exemptions possible if AAT Level 4 is held.

Qualifications

• 120 UCAS points from top 3 A Levels or Highers (or equivalent).
• GCSE Maths and English at grade 6/B or equivalent.
• AAT Level 4 qualification welcomed; exemptions may apply if you have it.

Responsibilities

• Work with financial data using accounting systems and digital tools.
• Support the preparation and review of financial information for clients.
• Build understanding of how businesses operate and their financial processes.
• Develop relationships with clients and colleagues as part of a team.
• Produce accurate, high-quality work and meet deadlines.
• Analyse financial information and identify areas for review.
• Gain exposure to various industries and client structures.
