Job summary
Southern Water is seeking a skilled Electrical/Electronic Technician to maintain and improve ICA systems across multiple sites in the Chatham area. You will ensure reliability, compliance, and efficiency of control systems while supporting ongoing improvements.
The role requires an NVQ Level 3 or time-served apprenticeship, strong fault-finding abilities, and a valid UK driving licence. This permanent position involves on-call standby, with travel to various sites and a base salary based on
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 or time-served electrical/electronic engineering qualification.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Full UK driving licence; able to travel to multiple sites.
Responsibilities
- Planned, reactive and proactive maintenance on telemetry, analysers, dosing equipment, control systems and instrumentation.
- Diagnose control system faults on PLC systems including Rockwell, Mitsubishi and Allen Bradley.
- Back up and modify HMI & SCADA systems and maintain site control networks.
- Undertake calibration and testing of instrumentation; complete documentation accurately and timely.
- Be part of a 1 in 7 Week Standby Rota.
