Job summary

Thames Water is seeking an Instrument Control Automation Technician to join their team in the Camberley area. The role covers pumping stations and boreholes across the local region, with a focus on safe, efficient operation and regulatory compliance.

You will work with SCADA, PLCs, and process control networks while supporting contractors and apprentices. A full UK driving licence is required, and a base location is Camberley STW.

Qualifications

• Ideally qualified to HNC/NVQ3 in instrumentation, control & automation.
• 18th Edition (BS7671) qualification preferred.
• Knowledge of relay logic and PLCs including Rockwell/Allen-Bradley.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, maintain, and repair water production assets including instrumentation and flow meters.
• Work with SCADA systems, PLCs, and process control networks.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers; provide technical advice and apprentice training.
