Job summary

Kingston Centre For Independent Living is seeking a kind, patient Personal Assistant/Support Worker to support IC1, an energetic and happy 8-year-old girl, in a respectful, person-centred way. The role involves helping with social interaction, personal care, and evening routines including dinner and bath time, with opportunities to accompany swimming and other activities.

A driving licence and access to a car would be beneficial but not essential; hours are Monday 4:00 pm–6:30 pm and Sunday 9:00

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference while supporting a young person to enjoy activities and build confidence. Swimming is a favourite activity, so a PA who enjoys going to the swimming pool and providing encouragement would be well suited to the role. The role includes support with social interaction, personal care, and evening routines, including assistance with dinner and bath time. The ideal PA will be calm, reliable and understanding, with experience of supporting children and people with disabilities. A positive, caring approach and the ability to build a trusting relationship are essential.

A driving licence and access to a car would be beneficial, but are not essential.

Hours: Monday 4:00 pm–6:30 pm and Sunday 9:00 am–1:00 pm
