Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting a Business Process Automation Developer (IBM BAW) in Northampton. The role focuses on designing, developing and supporting workflow and process solutions for critical operations, with significant interaction with technical and business stakeholders.

2-3 days onsite, initial 6-month contract, up to £700 per day inside IR35 (Umbrella). The candidate will design and implement IBM BAW workflows, integrate with REST APIs and databases, and contribute to CI/CD pipelines while

• Hands-on development with IBM BAW
• Experience designing workflows and case management
• Strong Java development skills
• Experience integrating REST APIs and enterprise apps
• SQL and relational DB experience
• Agile delivery experience
• Production support experience
• Stakeholder management skills
• Financial Services or Banking sector experience
• Large-scale transformation experience
• Knowledge of event-driven architectures and messaging
• CI/CD and automated deployment experience

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain IBM BAW workflow and process applications
• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Develop integrations with enterprise systems, REST APIs and databases
• Participate in solution design, technical reviews and code quality initiatives
• Support Agile delivery activities including estimation, sprint planning and execution
• Troubleshoot and resolve application and production issues
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, deployment activities and engineering best practices
• Produce and maintain technical documentation
• Collaborate with Business Analysts, Architects, Product Owners and Test Engineers to deliver outcomes
