NCIC is seeking an experienced IBD Nurse Specialist (Band 6) to manage a caseload of GI patients and run nurse-led clinics across two hospital sites in Cumbria. The role includes independent prescribing, patient assessment, and development of management plans within a multidisciplinary team.

You will work to improve quality of care, contribute to education and audits, and support patients with inflammatory bowel disease through ongoing monitoring and education.

Formación

• NMC registration and post-registration study required.
• Essential IT skills (EITS) or equivalent.
• ENB 998 / teaching certificate or equivalent.
• Management of Inflammatory Bowel Disease (or equivalent) qualification.
• Experience with IBD nursing preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide cover across Cumberland Infirmary, Carlisle and West Cumberland Hospital, Whitehaven.
• Act as an independent practitioner supporting a caseload of IBD patients.
• Lead nurse-led clinics and participate in multidisciplinary teams.
• Develop and review patient management plans, monitor therapies, and promote drug compliance.
• Contribute to education, research/audit and national guideline implementation.
