Job description

The IAM Analyst is an entry‑level position responsible for performing the daily operational tasks necessary to maintain the organization’s Identity and Access Management (IAM) systems. This role is crucial for ensuring the accurate and timely provisioning of user access, supporting access requests, and assisting with Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) maintenance, audit, and compliance efforts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Access Provisioning & Support: Execute the provisioning and de‑provisioning of user accounts and access rights across applications and systems, handle and resolve first‑ and second‑level help‑desk tickets (forgotten passwords, MFA enrollment, SSO connectivity), and ensure timely processing of Joiner, Mover, and Leaver (JML) requests.
  • RBAC and Compliance Assistance: Assist in documenting and maintaining the RBAC role catalog and access policies, help prepare data and evidence for periodic User Access Reviews (UARs) and internal/external audits, and perform routine checks to ensure access policies are consistently applied and the principle of least privilege is upheld.
  • SAM Tool Support: Run reports and extract data from Flexera or Snow Software to validate software assignments and entitlements, support configuration and maintenance of user roles and permissions within the Snow License Manager or Flexera platform, and use SAM data to support the business in reclaiming unused software access permissions.
  • System Maintenance & Documentation: Monitor IAM system health, assist with basic operational troubleshooting under supervision, and contribute to the creation and upkeep of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and end‑user training materials for IAM processes.
Education
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field, OR equivalent practical experience and certifications.
Experience
  • Experience in an IT Support, Help Desk, or introductory Security/IAM role.
Foundational Knowledge
  • Basic understanding of access control principles and user identity management within an enterprise environment.
Technical Familiarity
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Active Directory (user/group management).
  • Experience working with a ticketing system (e.g., Jira).
  • Prior exposure to or strong interest in using Software Asset Management (SAM) tools like Flexera or Snow Software.
Soft Skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills, critical for accurate provisioning.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a focus on customer service and clear documentation.
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
  • Hands‑on experience with Flexera/Snow tools.
  • Administering user roles or generating compliance reports.
  • Basic knowledge of Role‑Based Access Control (RBAC) concepts.
  • Relevant entry‑level certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC‑900).
