Job summary

Salter Grange is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Project Manager for a major hyperscale data centre project on behalf of a leading international technical contractor. You will lead the mechanical scope from construction through to commissioning and handover.

The role requires managing mechanical subcontractors, coordinating with CSA, electrical and commissioning teams, and delivering works safely on programme to the required quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Project Manager on major construction projects.
• Experience in data centres or mission-critical environments.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical building services and delivery.
• Experience managing subcontractors and multidisciplinary teams.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to operate in fast-paced, high-value projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of the mechanical scope from construction through to commissioning and handover.
• Manage mechanical subcontractors, suppliers and site teams.
• Coordinate mechanical works with CSA, electrical, commissioning and other project disciplines.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, on programme and to the required quality standards.
• Manage programme, progress, costs, procurement and project reporting.
• Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications and method statements.
• Oversee installation, testing, commissioning and handover of mechanical systems.
• Manage inspections, quality issues, RFIs and technical queries.
• Work closely with the client, design team and project leadership.
• Drive performance and ensure project milestones are achieved.
