Job summary

Suir Engineering Ltd in Glasgow seeks an Engineering Manager to lead the MEP scope for a 19MW hyperscale data centre. You will oversee design, development, and delivery of HV/LV power distribution, standby generation, UPS, and critical cooling systems, driving safety, quality and on-time delivery.

You will manage a team of electrical and mechanical engineers, coordinate with contractors and consultants, and ensure design compliance to Tier III concurrently maintainable standards while supporting

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, or related field.
Chartered Engineer status with IET/CIBSE desirable.
Minimum 7–10 years in engineering with 3+ years in data centres or mission-critical sectors.

Responsibilities

Oversee planning, design, and delivery of MEP engineering for data centre projects from pre-construction to Ready for Service.
Ensure on-time, on-scope, and on-budget delivery with focus on HV/LV power, standby gen, UPS, and cooling.
Lead a team of electrical and mechanical engineers and mentor staff.
Coordinate design, calculations, and approvals with contractors and consultants; ensure regulatory compliance.
