Are you a Dental Hygienist looking for a regular Friday opportunity within a welcoming practice where patient care, teamwork and building great patient relationships are at the heart of everything?
Hest Bank Dental Practice is looking for a friendly, motivated and experienced Hygienist to join its team. You'll be taking over an established patient list, working with a mixture of well-maintained patients, new patients and Denplan members, with the support of a dental nurse throughout every appointment.
This is a great opportunity to join a practice with an established patient base and ambitions to grow, where you'll play an important role in supporting patients with their ongoing oral health and preventative care.
An established patient base – take over a varied diary of existing, well-maintained patients, alongside new patients and Denplan members.
Consistent Friday working pattern – enjoy a regular weekly commitment, working 8:40am–4:20pm.
Dedicated nurse support – work alongside a dental nurse at all times, allowing you to focus on delivering excellent patient care.
A supportive team environment – join a practice that values collaboration, a positive attitude and making patients feel comfortable.
Opportunity to grow with the practice – Hest Bank has plans to develop further, giving you the chance to become part of its ongoing growth.
Clinical development – the opportunity to undertake Curadont training and develop your skills in this area.
You'll play an important part in delivering high-quality preventative and periodontal care, helping patients maintain healthy smiles and feel confident in their oral health. Your responsibilities will include:
Providing comprehensive hygiene treatments and supporting patients with their ongoing oral health.
Managing an established patient list, including well-maintained patients, new patients and Denplan members.
Delivering preventative advice and oral hygiene education, helping patients improve and maintain their home-care routines.
Carrying out Curadont treatments, with training provided and the expectation to complete the relevant requirements once trained.
Building positive relationships with patients, helping them feel relaxed, reassured and comfortable throughout their appointments.
Working closely with the dental nurse and wider clinical team to provide a seamless and positive patient experience.
We're looking for a GDC-registered Dental Hygienist with a good background in hygiene and a genuine passion for preventative dentistry. A Dental Therapist or dual-qualified Hygienist/Therapist would also be very welcome.
EMS experience would be desirable, although not essential, and previous Direct Access experience would be beneficial. You'll need to be happy to undertake Curadont training and complete the relevant requirements to provide these treatments once trained.
Most importantly, we're looking for someone with a great work ethic who enjoys being part of a team. You'll have excellent communication and rapport-building skills, a friendly and approachable manner, and the ability to put patients at ease. You'll take pride in your clinical work and enjoy helping patients achieve and maintain good oral health.
If you're looking for a regular Friday opportunity with an established patient list, dedicated nurse support and the chance to become part of a growing practice, we'd love to hear from you.
