Job summary

Pilgrim's Europe in Ruskington is seeking a Hygiene Team Leader to join our site and lead a team of operatives to uphold the highest cleaning standards and safety rules.

You will work 45 hours per week on a rolling 5-out-of-6 shift pattern (morning or night), with Sundays off. The role offers career progression, a good holiday scheme, paid breaks, and restaurant discounts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience leading a hygiene/production team in a food or manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of Health & Safety requirements and COSHH compliance.
• Good literacy and numeracy skills; accurate record-keeping and reporting.
• Excellent communication and motivational skills to lead diverse teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of operatives and ensure cleaning standards, machinery, and equipment are maintained to high standards.
• Ensure adherence to Company Policies and Health & Safety, COSHH and Food Safety rules at all times.
• Communicate clearly with team, plan work, and support problem-solving with a hands-on approach.
• Assist in driving continuous improvement and ensure all duties are performed in a timely, safe manner.

Job description

We have an exciting opportunity for Hygiene Team Leader Days to join our team at Ruskington site!

Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday or Tuesday to Saturday rotating every 4 weeks. You will work 45 hours per week as standard on permanent morning or night shift.

Start & Finish times vary by department and as guidance you will either work

• Day shift - 04:30am - 13:30pm or 05:45am - 14:30pm
• Night shift: - Monday 20:15pm - 05:15am / Tuesday - Saturday 21:45pm - 05:15am

Successful candidates will lead team of operatives and ensure that work areas, machinery and equipment are cleaned to the highest standards and cleaning schedules are met at all times.

You will take ownership of you own work and support your team in achieving best results whilst ensuring everyone complies with Company Policies and Procedures, Health & Safety, COSHH and Food Safety rules at all times.

Your duties may involve working at heights, confined spaces, cold and warm environment.

It Would Be Desirable For Candidates To Have

• A good standard of literacy and numeracy skills.

Our ideal candidate will need strong communication skills, great attention to detail and ability to lead and motivate the team. Previous experience working in Hygiene Department is essential.
