Job summary

Staffline in Wrexham on-site is seeking a Hygiene Supervisor for its fast-paced food manufacturing site. The role carries a competitive salary of £39,900 and offers stable, full-time employment within a growing business.

You will lead cleaning and sanitation across production, warehouse and support areas, ensure HACCP/GMP compliance, train and mentor hygiene operatives, and drive continuous improvements while supporting internal and external audits.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a hygiene or sanitation team in a food manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP and GMP.
• Knowledge of cleaning processes and sanitation standards.
• Leadership, organisational and communication skills.
• Flexible to work weekends or nights if required.
• Experience with audits and corrective actions.
• COSHH knowledge and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee cleaning and sanitation across production, warehouse, and support areas.
• Ensure hygiene tasks align with schedules, procedures, and food safety standards.
• Monitor hygiene performance and take corrective action.
• Manage use and storage of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Supervise and develop hygiene operatives, setting clear standards.
• Plan workloads, manage staffing, monitor performance.
• Conduct hygiene inspections and keep accurate records.
• Support internal, customer, and third-party audits.
• Investigate non-conformances and implement preventive actions.
• Promote health, safety, housekeeping, PPE, COSHH compliance.
• Carry out risk assessments and support incident investigations.
• Work with Production, Quality, Engineering to resolve issues.
• Drive continuous improvements in cleaning and efficiency.
