Job summary

Omega Plc is recruiting a Hygiene Supervisor for our Wrexham site. You will lead cleaning and sanitation across production, warehouse and support areas to maintain top food safety standards.

You will manage a team of hygiene operatives, schedule workloads, and drive continuous improvements in cleaning practices and efficiency. This is a full-time, on-site role with opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• Must have supervising or leading a hygiene/sanitation team in food manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of HACCP, GMP and food safety systems.
• Experience with cleaning processes, chemicals, and sanitation standards.
• Excellent leadership, organizational and communication skills.
• Flexibility to work shifts including weekends or nights if required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee all cleaning and sanitation activities across production, warehouse, and support areas.
• Ensure hygiene tasks follow schedules, procedures and food safety standards.
• Monitor hygiene performance and take corrective action where required.
• Manage safe use, storage and handling of cleaning chemicals and equipment.
• Supervise, train and develop a team of hygiene operatives with clear expectations.
• Plan and allocate workload, manage staffing levels and monitor performance.
• Conduct routine hygiene inspections and verification checks with accurate records.
• Support internal, customer and third-party audits.
