Job summary

Farmfoods Ltd in Daventry is recruiting Hygiene Operatives to join our brand new distribution centre. You’ll contribute to the hygiene programme and support daily warehouse cleaning, waste handling, and maintaining a safe workplace.

The role offers 37.5 hours per week, five days across seven with at least one weekend day, and an hourly rate of £13.69. Full training provided, with benefits including a staff discount, pension, and wellbeing options.

Qualifications

• Must be aged 18 or over.
• Physically fit as this is a demanding role with productivity targets.
• Friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.
• Experience in a warehouse environment or with manual handling equipment is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Day to day cleaning of the warehouse including emptying bins and operating the waste compactor.
• Collecting recyclable materials.
• Operating the bailer.
• Dealing with spill and trip hazards.
• Collecting and recording damages to help reduce waste.
• Yard maintenance.

Hygiene Operative

- Hours: 37.5hours across 5 days per week.

We are looking to recruit hygiene operatives who will be responsible for enhancing the hygiene programmeat our brand new distribution centre in Daventry, Northamptonshire. Details about the new site are included below:

• Address: Logicor Park Daventry, Royal Oak Way N, Daventry, NN11 8QL.
• Positions starting in September.

We offer a permanent full time position and have a variety of shift patterns available working 5 days from 7 each week, including at least one weekend day. We may also have some part time work available.

Shift patterns include:

- Day shift - From 06:00 to 14:00

Pay, working hours & benefits:

We offer an hourly pay rate of £13.69per hour forday shifts (£10.90if you're looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.

You will be guaranteed a minimum of 37.5 hours work per week for full time positions and if you're looking to earn a bit more then overtime is regularly available.

The core duties will involve but are not limited to:

• Day to day cleaning of the warehouse including emptying bins and operating the waste compactor.
• Collecting recyclable materials.
• Operating the bailer.
• Quickly dealing with issues such as spill and trip hazards.
• Collecting and recording of damages to assist in the reduction of waste.
• Yard maintenance.
• A Counterbalance licence would be desirable but is not essential.

You will need:

- To be aged 18 or over to be eligible for this role (due to Health and Safety reasons).

- To be physically fit as this is a demanding role and you will be expected to achieve productivity targets.

- A friendly, positive, hard working approach to work.

- Although it is not essential, if you have experience of working in a warehouse environment or experience working with manual handling equipment then let us know about it in your application.
