Job summary

Gap Personnel is seeking an experienced Hygiene Operative / Industrial cleaner for a client in Preston. You will work in a challenging environment handling chemicals and wet conditions in a warehouse setting, performing hygiene tasks and following SOPs.

The role reports to the Hygiene Manager with a shift from 13:50 to 21:50, Monday to Friday. The pay rate is £12.71 per hour, reflecting UK industrial cleaning standards and the need for meticulous attention to detail in a production environment.

• Remove waste from production and clean equipment to site and customer standards.
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for hygiene tasks.
• Clean down machinery and production areas as per SOPs.
• Ensure chemicals are used safely and within procedures.
• Keep floors swept and floors clear.
• Complete regular wash downs and changeovers as required.
• Maintain clean as you go area and practice good manufacturing discipline.

We are looking for an experienced Hygiene Operative / Industrial cleaner for one of our well-established clients in Preston

Successful candidate will have ability to work in a challenging environment involving the handling of chemicals and exposure to wet conditions. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working under these conditions and possess the necessary skills to perform the tasks required in a warehouse environment .

Main duties and responsibilities:

• To remove the waste of any product left over from production
• To clean equipment and facilities to the standards as set out by site and customer standards
• Follow Standard Operating Procedures for completion of hygiene tasks
• Clean down of machinery and production areas as per Standard Operating Procedures
• Ensure all chemicals are used as specified and within procedures outlined
• Ensure that floors are swept and cleared down as appropriate
• Completion of line wash downs in a timely and consistent manner including changeovers
• Maintain a clean as you go area and demonstrate good manufacturing practice
• Comply with all company procedures and codes of practice to ensure a safe and hygienic workplace
• Complete regular/routine tasks without being asked
• Focus on attention to detail and maintaining high standards
• Other duties relating to this role and production environment

Shift Pattern : 13:50-21:50 Monday -Friday

Pay Rate : £12.71 per hour
