Job summary

GXO is hiring a Hygiene Colleague at our Ikea Dartford site to join a stable, full-time team. You will work 40 hours per week across a 5-out-of-7 shift pattern, with early and late shifts (06:00–14:00 or 14:00–22:00) to keep the site clean and compliant.

In this role you’ll maintain hygiene standards, manage waste, complete daily cleaning rotas and paperwork, and learn to operate equipment. We offer 20 days’ leave, a company pension, and access to staff benefits and career progression.

Here at GXO, we are currently recruiting for a Hygiene Colleague to join the team at our Ikea Dartford site.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Working 40 hours per week, on 5 days out of 7 shift pattern.

Shift times are: 06:00 – 14:00 or 14:00 – 22:00

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• Working as part of a team which is responsible for and maintaining hygiene standards on site
• Ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail which helps maintain a clean tidy and safe working environment
• Manage the general waste of site, collecting and disposing of all waste
• Completion of daily cleaning rotas and correct completion of daily paperwork
• To be trained on equipment which includes baling equipment, pump truck and LLOP
• To follow all SSOW and SOP’s as trained

What you need to succeed at GXO:

• Good communication skills, along with good listening skills
• Self -motivated with the ability to prioritise workloads and work using own initiative
• Experience using a range of cleaning chemicals and products
