Job summary

Mitie Group plc. is seeking a Hygiene Operative to deliver high cleaning standards across our site in Carlisle. The role is permanent, part-time (24 hours per week) with Saturday and Sunday shifts from 06:00 to 18:00.

You will follow cleaning schedules, meet SLAs and maintain equipment, while working safely with cleaning chemicals. Previous experience is desirable but not essential; a proactive, reliable, and team‑oriented attitude is valued.

Responsibilities

• Ensure equipment is kept clean, well maintained, and in safe working order.
• Meet all agreed SLAs and follow cleaning schedules.
• Build knowledge of the designated cleaning area and understand cleaning equipment and chemicals used.
• Follow Health and Safety requirements and complete all required training.
• Work effectively within a team and independently, delivering excellent customer service.

Rate of Pay: £12.71 Per Hour
Contract: Permanent
Type of Employment: Part Time
Hours: 24 Hours Per Week
Shift Pattern: Saturday and Sunday (06:00 - 18:00)
