Job summary

Kingdom People is recruiting for a Hygiene Operative to join a confectionary client site in Blackburn (BB1). The role involves high-level cleaning, waste handling, and facilities upkeep, with training on days before night shifts begin.

The position is full-time, 36 hours per week, with night shifts from 22:00 to 06:00 and a temporary-to-permanent path after 12 weeks. £12.90 per hour is offered, plus on-site parking and opportunities to progress.

Qualifications

• Hygiene Operative role requires hygiene experience or a strong willingness to learn.
• Ability to work night shifts across 8-12 hour blocks.
• Good attitude and reliable travel to Blackburn (BB1).
• Willingness to train on days before starting night shift.

Responsibilities

• Clean facilities, floors, toilets, washrooms, canteen and locker rooms.
• Assist with waste handling and drainage cleaning.
• Organise laundry and general cleaning tasks around the site.
• Support process and packing areas with cleaning duties.

The role will involve assisting in the cleaning process, ensuring that all facilities are kept up to the standards. The role will involve high level cleaning and training is provided.

The role:

Hygiene Operative will be expected to do the following tasks (list is not exhaustive):

• Waste collections. Dealing with all our waste streams.
• Floor cleaning both with a machine and mop.
• Organizing laundry
• Facilities cleaning , toilets , washrooms , canteen and locker rooms
• Assisting process and packing in specific cleaning in these areas.
• Drain cleaning
• Cleaning and organizing outside around the perimeter
• Other cleaning tasks when identified.

Requirements:

Hygiene Operativeideally need to fulfil the following requirements:

• Be able to work 8hr shift
• Previous experience desirable but not essential
• Being able to commute to Blackburn (BB1)
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn
