Job summary

Mitie Group plc is seeking a Hygiene Operative to deliver routine cleaning for a Mitie customer. You will perform high risk and low risk hygiene tasks, including washing equipment, walls, floors and overheads, and you will operate cleaning equipment to meet SLA standards.

You will work as part of a team, liaising with the Hygiene Team Leader, handling chemicals, ensuring containers are labelled and locked, and completing deep sanitation as required.

Qualifications

• Experience in hygiene work is beneficial; training is provided.
• COSHH training is required.
• Ability to dismantle equipment and handle chemicals safely.

Responsibilities

• Carry out high and low risk hygiene tasks including washing equipment, walls, floors and overheads.
• Operate cleaning equipment and perform deep sanitation as required.
• Liaise with Hygiene Team Leader; ensure containers are labelled and locked at all times.
• Work as part of a team to maintain visual and microbiological hygiene across the site.

Job description

We are looking for a Hygiene Operative to provide excellent service standards for the delivery of routine planned and periodic cleaning for a Mitie customer. The role holder will be responsible for meeting all SLA agreements whilst adhering to the cleaning schedules.

In your new role, you will carry out general High Risk and Low Risk hygiene tasks including but not limited to washing equipment, walls, floor & overheads, mopping floors, belt cleaning & using scrubbing/sweeping equipment.

We are looking for someone who can work as part of a team to ensure that the highest standards of visual and microbiological hygiene are always maintained across all areas of the site. You will also need to liaise closely with Hygiene Team Leader, working with chemicals and ensure containers are labelled and locked at all times. You will be required to operate cleaning equipment and complete deep sanitation as well as working.

Previous experience as a food manufacturing cleaner is desirable but not compulsory as full training will be provided. You will need to be able to dismantle equipment and machinery, handle and use chemical - subject to passing your COSHH training. IPAF is desirable but not essential.
