Job summary

Noble Foods, home of The Happy Egg Co., is seeking an experienced Hygiene Manager for Gainsborough Poultry to lead hygiene, food safety and compliance on site.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you will coach Team Leaders, ensure HACCP/COSHH and BRC/Tesco standards, and use data to drive continuous improvement while upholding health and safety across the site. Join a values-driven, people-focused business with a long heritage.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience leading a hygiene department within food manufacturing, poultry or a regulated environment.
  • Strong people leadership and performance management experience.
  • Knowledge of COSHH, HACCP, food safety and hygiene requirements.
  • Experience working to BRC and Tesco standards.
  • Leadership training, HACCP Level 2 and IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent).

The Role

As Hygiene Manager, you’ll lead all hygiene activities following daily production, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, hygiene, health & safety, compliance and operational performance.

Reporting to the Operations Director, you’ll provide visible leadership to Team Leaders and colleagues, while working closely with Production, Technical, Engineering, Maintenance, HR and the wider Site Leadership Team.

Key Responsibilities

About You

You’ll ideally have:

  • Proven experience leading a hygiene department within food manufacturing, poultry or a regulated environment
  • Strong people leadership and performance management experience
  • Good knowledge of COSHH, HACCP, food safety and hygiene requirements
  • Experience working to BRC and Tesco standards
  • Strong communication, influencing and decision‑making skills
  • Relevant leadership training, with HACCP Level 2 and IOSH Managing Safely (or equivalent) completed or a willingness to achieve them
