Job summary

Noble Foods Home of the Happy Egg Co. in Leicester is seeking a Hygiene Operative for our new site. You will help keep the facility clean, audit-ready, and compliant with HACCP and safety standards.

Role involves following the Hygiene Plan, cleaning equipment and lines, stripping and cleaning machinery, handling chemicals safely, and completing paperwork accurately. Shift: Mon–Fri 22:00–06:00, 37.5 hours, £14.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Previous hygiene or food manufacturing experience is essential and full training will be provided.
• Ability to follow procedures and work independently.
• Commitment to hygiene, health & safety, and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Following the site Hygiene Plan carefully and consistently.
• Carrying out High Risk and Low Risk cleaning tasks for equipment, walls, floors, overheads, and belts.
• Stripping down and cleaning factory machinery.
• Using cleaning chemicals at correct concentrations and following CICs.
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment and completing paperwork on time.

We’re looking for enthusiastic, reliable, and passionate Hygiene Operatives to join our growing team at our new food manufacturing site in Leicester. If you take pride in keeping things spotless, working to high standards, and being part of a team that truly values hygiene and food safety - this could be the role for you.

Shift Pattern: Monday – Friday 22:00 - 06:00 37.5 hours

Salary: £14.50 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Hygiene Operative, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our site clean, safe, and audit-ready at all times.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Following the site Hygiene Plan carefully and consistently
• Carrying out High Risk and Low Risk cleaning tasks, including:
  • Cleaning equipment, walls, floors, overheads, and conveyor belts
  • Using scrubbing and sweeping equipment
• Stripping down and cleaning factory machinery
• Using cleaning chemicals at the correct concentrations, following Cleaning Instruction Cards (CICs)
• Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
• Safely handling cleaning chemicals and equipment
• Completing all hygiene and safety paperwork accurately and on time
• Reading, understanding, and following all guidelines relating to chemicals, equipment, and HACCP procedures
