Job summary

Avara Foods Ltd invites applications for a Utilities Operative at the Hollybank site in Scropton. This role focuses on upholding cleanliness, hygiene and safety standards within a busy food-production environment.

You will maintain on-site laundry, manage PPE stock, and perform thorough cleaning of locker rooms, canteen and toilets while working a 40-hour week. Comprehensive training is provided and a secure contract is offered.

Qualifications

• Good level of English and basic numeracy skills.
• Ability to work well within a team and communicate effectively.
• Good attention to detail and a flexible attitude to tasks.
• Experience within a similar cleaning/hygiene position is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining on-site laundry and keeping relevant records.
• Washing, drying and issuing PPE.
• General cleaning of locker rooms, canteen and toilets.
• Keeping locker and laundry rooms clean and tidy to reduce risk of contamination.
