A multidisciplinary consultancy in Edinburgh is seeking a Hydrologist to join their team. The role involves producing drainage designs, conducting flood risk assessments, and requires a degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. My client, an independent, innovative Multidisciplinary Consultancy is currently searching for a Hydrologist to join their growing team of experts in the beautiful Scottish capital of Edinburgh.
Essential Criteria:
– A Degree in Civil Engineering, Mathematics, Geography, or related field
– Demonstrable experience of working with Flood Risk Assessments, Flood Risk Mitigation, and SuDS
– Experience of drainage design and sewerage connections
– Good working knowledge of agreements S104 and S106, and their relevant applications within the industry
– Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, MicroDrainage WinDES, and other, similar software packages
It would also benefit applicants for the role of Hydrologist to possess the following skills:
– An excellent general knowledge of mathematics
– Ability to work on own initiative, as well as part of a team
In the diverse role of Hydrologist, you will join a specialist team of experts in their respective fields, with a view to developing and progressing within your career. The role will involve a variety of responsibilities, including:
– Producing drainage designs to align with industry standards and speculations
– Completing Flood Risk Assessments and Flood Risk Mitigation projects
– Preparing calculations and drawings for drainage systems, aligned to S104, S106, and other agreements
– Liaising with clients and other stakeholders, across the public and private sectors
