Job summary
Penguin Recruitment in Gateshead is seeking a Civil Engineer - Hydraulics to contribute to water and wastewater infrastructure projects. You will perform hydraulic design, modelling and analysis, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver practical engineering solutions across a growing consultancy.
This role provides UK-based work with a clear path to Chartered Engineer status, a salary of £42,000–£58,000, discretionary bonus, pension, 25 days' holiday and professional membership
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
- Experience in hydraulic design or analysis.
- Understanding of pipelines, drainage networks and water infrastructure.
- Experience with hydraulic modelling and engineering design software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Commitment to professional development and Chartership.
Responsibilities
- Undertake hydraulic design, modelling and analysis.
- Support water, wastewater, pipeline and drainage network projects.
- Prepare calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation.
- Interpret modelling results and engineering data to develop practical solutions.
- Work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams.
- Ensure designs comply with BMS, CDM and relevant industry standards.
- Support project delivery and communicate with clients and stakeholders.
