Job summary
Penguin Recruitment is seeking a Civil Engineer - Hydraulics in London to work across hydraulic design, modelling and analysis of water and wastewater infrastructure.
This growing consultancy offers specialist work across water projects and a clear path to Chartership, with multidisciplinary design teams and client-facing exposure.
The role features a salary of £45,000 - £60,000, discretionary bonus, pension, 25 days’ holiday, professional membership support and flexible working.
Qualifications
- Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline
- Experience in hydraulic design or analysis
- Understanding of pipelines, drainage networks and water infrastructure
- Experience with hydraulic modelling and engineering design software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Full UK driving licence
- Commitment to professional development and Chartership
Responsibilities
- Undertake hydraulic design, modelling and analysis
- Support water, wastewater, pipeline and drainage network projects
- Prepare calculations, technical reports, specifications and design documentation
- Interpret modelling results and engineering data to develop practical solutions
- Work alongside multidisciplinary engineering teams
- Ensure designs comply with BMS, CDM and relevant industry standards
- Support project delivery and communicate with clients and stakeholders
