Job summary

Qualifications

• Level 4 qualification or equivalent in a relevant area.
• Experience of working with young people to support their needs and development.
• Experience of working with employers and stakeholders.
• Experience of partnership working and delivering services collaboratively.
• Experience within skills, employability or related sector.
• Experience of managing a caseload in a target-driven environment.
• Knowledge of the local labour market and related issues.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Excellent organisation and time-management skills and ability to meet deadlines.
• Good IT skills including MS Office and online systems/databases.
• Flexible approach with ability to travel locally.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of young people with tailored information, advice, guidance and coaching.
• Complete initial assessments to understand skills, needs, aspirations and barriers.
• Develop individual support plans with clear career goals.
• Match participants with funded job opportunities and work with employers.
• Provide regular 1:1 support, progress reviews and workplace visits.
• Deliver engaging workshops to prepare for work.
• Build relationships with employers, DWP Work Coaches and partners.
• Resolve challenges to secure successful placements.
• Help participants progress to sustained employment, education or training.
• Maintain accurate participant records and ensure compliance.
• Work towards targets and KPIs.
