Job summary

Georgetown University’s McCourt School seeks a Web Manager to develop and maintain its online presence, ensuring accessibility, UX, and performance across main sites. You’ll collaborate with the Web Services team, IST, UIS, and stakeholders to meet objectives and uphold brand standards.

Responsibilities include content production, site governance, analytics reporting with GA4, Siteimprove, and 508 compliance, plus leading front-end developments in WordPress and maintaining core CMS standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in website content management, front-end programming, or digital marketing.
• Experience with at least one enterprise web CMS, preferably WordPress.
• Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS in WordPress environments.
• Experience ensuring and maintaining Section 508 accessibility per WCAG 2.2.
• Experience in responsive web design and mobile-first methodologies.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Proficiency with design software (e.g., Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Figma).
• Strong organizational, project and time-management skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team and independently.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the online presence for Georgetown’s McCourt School.
• Manage content production, maintenance, and governance of the McCourt website.
• Ensure accessibility, UX, SEO and site speed performance.
• Collaborate with UIS, IST and stakeholders to meet business objectives.
• Track metrics with GA4 and Siteimprove and provide ongoing reporting.
• Serve as primary point of contact for content updates to the site.
