Job summary

Matchtech is recruiting a Senior CAD Technician (Electrical or Mechanical) for the water sector. You will lead CAD/BIM outputs, coordinate across disciplines and regions with hybrid working in the UK, and mentor junior technicians.

You will drive digital delivery excellence, manage drawing production, support offshore design resources, and ensure outputs meet industry standards and client expectations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
• Strong CAD background in electrical or mechanical within infrastructure/utilities/water sectors.
• Advanced 2D drafting and 3D modelling with BIM practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead production, coordination and QA of electrical CAD drawings and models.
• Manage CAD workloads to meet project programmes and milestones.
• Promote best practices in CAD, BIM and digital engineering across teams.
• Coordinate drawing production with offshore/remote teams.
• Ensure designs comply with CDM regulations and project standards.
