Job summary

Victim Support in Wakefield is seeking a proactive Team Leader to oversee the CYP and VAWG caseloads across West Yorkshire. The role combines line management with hands-on casework in a busy service, with a hybrid model and regular travel within the region.

The successful candidate will have experience leading a team in the voluntary sector, an understanding of the criminal justice system, and a commitment to trauma-informed support for victims and witnesses.

Qualifications

• Ideally, you will be a confident manager with experience of managing a team of caseworkers.
• Experience of working in the voluntary sector and within the criminal justice system is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Managing a team of caseworkers
• Carrying out case reviews and case management
• Case allocation and discussion
• Working on the case management system
• Ensuring quarterly and other reporting is completed
• Liaising with the Operations Manager to ensure policy and procedures are followed
• Attending meetings, events and external/internal commitments to share information and promote the service
• Promote a trauma-informed and supportive workplace
