Job summary

Worcestershire County Council is seeking a Transport Commissioning & Allocation Officer to join the Integrated Transport Team. You will influence transport provision for vulnerable adults, children and families across Worcestershire and help shape service delivery with operators and partners.

The role focuses on commissioning vital transport services, driving value for money and delivering innovative solutions to improve outcomes for clients in a changing environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in commissioning and contract management preferred.
• Ability to work with schools, social care professionals, transport operators, parents and carers.

Responsibilities

• Play a key role in commissioning and sustaining safe, dependable transport services that have a direct and positive impact on vulnerable clients across Worcestershire.
• Help shape the future direction of passenger transport services across the county.
• Develop expertise in commissioning, contract management, procurement and transport planning.
• Work closely with senior leaders and partners to deliver real service improvements.
• Contribute to innovative projects that influence how transport services are delivered in the future.
