Job summary

City & Guilds Training in Leeds is seeking a Training Officer with electrical installation background to support apprentices across multiple centres. The role blends centre work, home-based tasks, and site visits to employers.

The successful candidate will engage with apprentices, manage progress reviews, and ensure gateway and end point assessments are met. A TAQA/Assessors qualification or willingness to attain it is required.

Qualifications

• Electrical installation background with up-to-date qualifications.
• 5+ years industry experience in electrical installation.
• TAQA Level 3 or willingness to achieve it.
• Strong communication and ability to engage employers and apprentices.
• Experience in apprenticeship delivery is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Provide initial advice to employers and apprentices.
• Induct apprentices at programme start.
• Maintain regular employer engagement and progress reviews.
• Oversee apprentices' skill development in-centre and workplace.
• Ensure gateway requirements and end-point assessment readiness.
• Act as daily point of contact for employer and apprentice.
