Job summary

Nationwide Building Society is seeking an Operational Risk Oversight Manager – Third Party to join our Second Line of Defence. You will challenge supplier risks and ensure secure outsourcing arrangements, working with Procurement and risk teams to strengthen controls.

You will deliver independent oversight, monitor vendor performance, and present findings to senior management, supporting robust third‑party risk governance across Nationwide. Hybrid working is available.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of third‑party risk management principles and practices.
• Experience in risk management, audit, or compliance within financial services.
• Strong analytical and review capabilities for vendor risk frameworks.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Adaptable, self-motivated, and capable of handling multiple supplier projects.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational risk oversight for risks from Nationwide’s use of third parties.
• Monitor supplier relationships by reviewing critical vendor agreements and controls.
• Conduct assurance reviews of supplier controls and evaluate risk governance framework.
• Present oversight findings to senior management and risk committees.
