Hybrid Test Analyst — QA & Agile Quality Assurance

Job summary

AWD Online in the London area is seeking a Test Analyst / Software Tester to strengthen software quality and influence well‑validated releases within a collaborative technology environment.

You will translate requirements into clear test cases, execute functional, integration and regression testing, manage defects, support UAT, and help ensure release readiness across applications and integrations, working with developers, analysts, product owners and global teams in a hybrid setup.

Qualifications

• Experience with test case design, execution and defect management tools such as Azure DevOps or JIRA
• Understanding of functional, regression, integration and API testing concepts
• Ability to read basic technical documentation, data flows and integration diagrams
• Familiarity with REST/SOAP APIs, JSON, XML and integration testing basics
• Knowledge of SQL for data validation
• Experience testing within Agile delivery teams and sprint cycles
• Awareness of automation testing concepts; hands‑on automation is optional
• Strong attention to detail with a structured and methodical approach
• Collaborative and proactive approach, with the confidence to highlight risks, gaps and blockers
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain issues in an understandable way
• Curious, quality‑focused mindset with a commitment to improving reliability and delivery outcomes

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare tests by analysing requirements and acceptance criteria; identify data, environments and dependencies
• Design and execute functional, integration, regression and exploratory tests across applications
• Record results and maintain traceability from requirements to execution
• Raise defects with evidence, reproduce steps and impact analysis
• Track defects and risks; support go/no-go decisions
• Collaborate with developers, BAs, PMs, product owners and global teams; support UAT
• Check early-life validation and post-release quality
• Provide updates on progress, coverage and overall quality status
• Suggest improvements to processes, tooling and documentation
