Job summary

Siemens Electrification & Automation seeks a Tendering Engineer to develop technical and commercial proposals for medium‑voltage power distribution projects in the UK. You will work with Sales, Engineering, Procurement and Project Management to turn customer requirements into competitive solutions.

The role is suited to Electrical/Design/Proposal engineers looking to expand in tendering and commercial engineering, with potential travel between Manchester/Hebburn sites and periodic site visits.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Experience in tendering, engineering, project or technical support roles preferred.
• Familiarity with switchgear and power distribution systems is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Review customer enquiries and tender documents to capture technical and commercial requirements.
• Create technical and commercial proposals for MV switchgear, protection systems and digital solutions.
• Prepare budgets, quotations, delivery schedules and supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with sales, engineering, procurement and project management to ensure costings and risk controls.
• Support bid reviews, governance and progress tracking to meet order intake targets.
