Job summary

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a proactive Tenancy Housing Officer to deliver high-quality tenancy management services across Swindon. You will build strong relationships with residents, support neighbourhoods, and monitor tenancy compliance to sustain tenancies and improve living standards.

You will manage visits, audits, assignments and terminations, and work with partner agencies to resolve issues while maintaining accurate records and supporting service improvement.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering tenancy management or housing services.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise demands.
• Experience investigating tenancy issues and taking action.
• Knowledge of housing legislation or ability to develop quickly.
• Experience working with internal teams and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload across tenancy management, including visits and checks.
• Identify support needs and resolve issues early; support enforcement where needed.
• Maintain records, use data to inform decisions, help shape services.
