Job summary

Swindon Borough Council is seeking a Lettings Housing Officer to deliver lettings services across Council-owned properties. You will act as the primary contact for applicants and tenants, conducting viewings, affordability checks, sign-ups and tenancy packs in line with policy.

The post requires knowledge of housing legislation, a full UK driving licence and a hybrid office pattern, with a 37-hour week on a 12-month fixed-term/secondment basis.

Qualifications

• Experience with housing lettings policies and procedures.
• Ability to conduct affordability assessments and viewings.
• Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Deliver lettings services across Council-owned properties.
• Act as primary contact for applicants and tenants; provide viewings, guidance and inquiries.
• Complete pre-tenancy checks, affordability assessments, sign-ups and tenancy packs.
• Maintain void register, energy portal data entry and compliance with housing legislation.
