Job summary

Lewisham Council is seeking an experienced Technical Fire Safety Advisor to provide expert fire safety guidance across a diverse housing portfolio, ensuring compliance with legislation and best practice. You will lead on fire risk management and work with contractors and regulators to deliver effective safety outcomes.

You will develop and deliver training to a wide range of teams to embed a strong fire safety culture.

Qualifications

• Minimum Level 4 Diploma fire safety qualification.
• Membership of GIFireE, MIFireE, MIFSM or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of BS 7974 and Building Safety Act 2022.
• Experience with fire risk assessments and fire engineering matters.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert fire safety advice across a diverse housing portfolio.
• Lead on fire risk management and support major fire safety projects.
• Develop and deliver fire safety training to a wide range of teams and stakeholders across the organisation.
