Job summary

Northern LGPS is seeking a Head of Technology to shape the technology strategy, resilience and capability as we enter a new phase of development. You will set a multi-year technology vision, strengthen governance, and ensure secure, reliable applications, data and infrastructure across the organisation.

You will lead technology governance, risk, cybersecurity and operational resilience, align technology investment with priorities and manage external providers, budgets and talent to deliver

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading technology strategy and governance.
• Experience in risk, security and operational resilience.
• Ability to manage budgets, external providers and contracts.
• Strong stakeholder engagement with senior leaders and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a multi-year technology strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Lead technology risk, cybersecurity and incident response.
• Oversee the technology change portfolio, ensuring value delivery.
• Manage external technology providers and contracts.
• Grow and develop the technology team and capabilities.
• Centralise governance across strategy, operations and change.
