Job summary

Thirdfort is hiring a Tech Lead (IC4) to join one of our product teams in London. You will shape design, architecture and delivery for secure, scalable systems while mentoring engineers and setting high standards.

You’ll collaborate with Product, Design and other engineering leaders, owning technical outcomes end-to-end and advancing AI-enabled development practices. This role supports a hybrid model with two days per week in the London office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience building and operating production software in a modern engineering environment.
• Experience leading design and delivery for complex systems.
• Strong backend and frontend experience with Go, TypeScript, JavaScript, Python.
• Enjoy mentoring other engineers and leading through influence rather than authority.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership within your team and domain, guiding design decisions and architectural direction.
• Design, build and deliver complex features and systems that are secure, scalable and maintainable.
• Own technical outcomes end-to-end, from discovery and design through to delivery and long-term operation.
• Lead by example in AI-assisted software engineering, using AI to accelerate delivery while maintaining engineering judgement.
• Mentor and coach engineers across the team, supporting their technical growth and confidence.
• Collaborate with Product and Design to shape solutions and manage trade-offs.
• Lead technical discussions, reviews and incident investigations to drive learning.
