Job summary

Lincolnshire County Council is seeking an experienced Team Manager to lead the Learning Disabilities Team within Adult Care & Community Wellbeing. You will provide visible leadership to social care professionals, champion strengths-based practice, and ensure person-centred, high-quality services.

You will collaborate with health partners, families and community organisations to promote independence and wellbeing.

Qualifications

• Social Work qualification with managerial experience.
• Current registration with Social Work England (SWE).
• Minimum of five years' post-qualification experience in health or adult social care.
• Experience leading, supervising, or managing teams.
• Strong knowledge of adult social care legislation, safeguarding, MCA, Care Act, and related statutory frameworks.
• Excellent communication and partnership-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide strong, visible leadership to a team of social care professionals.
• Promote strengths-based approaches to maximise independence and wellbeing.
• Oversee complex cases, safeguarding enquiries, risk management, and legal processes.
• Ensure high-quality assessments, reviews, and support planning.
• Drive staff development through supervision, coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
• Lead service improvement, quality assurance, and best practice standards.
• Foster partnerships with health colleagues, providers, families, and communities.
• Manage resources and contribute to strategic development of LD services.
