Job summary

Oliver Wyman is seeking a Resource & Talent Manager (Consultant Resource Management) for hybrid work, with 60% of time from our Newcastle office. You will staff specialists onto external client projects and drive talent management across a pool of professionals.

You will collaborate with the European Talent Management team and local Partners to align staffing with business needs, performance processes, and career development initiatives.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of experience as a Talent Manager, Resource Manager, Recruiter or HR in a dynamic client services environment (strategy/ management consulting or professional services preferred).
• Excellent communication skills at all levels of the organization.
• Team player who can work independently yet collaboratively in a fast-paced setting.
• Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with diverse personalities and cultures.
• Ability to use AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini).

Responsibilities

• Staffing specialists onto client projects, balancing project requirements with development objectives and personal preferences.
• Oversee local utilization; ensure trapped capacity is limited.
• Talent management for a specialist population including on-boarding, performance management and career development.
• Manage Mid-Year and Year-End performance management processes.
• Act as a trusted point of contact for specialists on career development, work-life balance, or conflict resolution.
• Collaborate with other Human Capital functions on training, performance management and recruiting.
• Engage in project-based initiatives.
