Job summary

BWXT Nuclear Energy Canada Inc. seeks a Systems Engineer for the Peterborough, Ontario site. You will support technical direction for projects and interface with internal and external customers across I&C, software and mechanical engineering teams.

The role focuses on system-level design, requirements management, FMEA, testing, and commissioning with travel to client sites as needed, enabling world-class fuel handling and isotope delivery tooling.

Qualifications

• B.A.Sc. in Engineering required or equivalent.
• Holds or working toward a PEO license.
• 3 years’ experience in design engineering in nuclear, aerospace, or regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Define and manage system-level design requirements.
• Define interfaces between mechanical, I&C, and software disciplines.
• Prepare system design documentation and FMEA with the team.
• Support project testing, commissioning, and deliverables.
• Ensure adherence to processes, codes, and standards.
