Job summary

Amentum is seeking Systems Engineers (Engineer/Consultant grades) to join our UK-based team. The majority of work can be carried out from home with occasional site visits, including 1–2 days in the Bristol office.

You will work on MoD, Nuclear and decommissioning programmes, applying SE life cycle activities and delivering high-integrity solutions. You will provide SME guidance, capture requirements, and develop SE artefacts, mentoring team members and collaborating with project stakeholders to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a recognised engineering or STEM discipline.
• Experience of Systems Engineering activities in a complex, safety focussed and regulated organisation.
• Holistic approach to Systems Engineering and general engineering activities.
• Delivery focussed with an enthusiasm to make a positive difference.
• Demonstrable experience of change management and adapting to changing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Steering SE principles and processes through project approvals.
• Provide SME advice on SE processes to stakeholders and teams.
• Capture, validate and manage requirements and V&V strategy.
• Ensure consistency in user, system, design and safety requirements.
• Provide SME advice and manage interfaces of systems.
• Plan, develop, update SE artefacts (ConOps, RAMS, URDs, SRDs, VVRMs, ITEAPs).
• Prepare presentations and represent SE in meetings.
