Job summary

Amentum is seeking Systems Engineers to join our UK-based team with flexible work location. The majority of work can be done from home, with some site visits potentially required.

You will contribute across MoD, nuclear and decommissioning programmes, shaping SE life-cycle activities and delivering significant national impact. You will collaborate with a wide Project Team, applying your engineering expertise, governance mindset, and stakeholder engagement skills to drive successful outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or STEM discipline.
• Experience in systems engineering in safety-focused, regulated environments (UK MoD or similar).
• Holistic approach to systems engineering and engineering activities.
• Delivery-focused with the ability to make a positive difference.
• Experience with change management and adapting to evolving requirements.

Responsibilities

• Steer the Systems Engineering principles and processes through project approvals.
• Provide SME advice to project stakeholders and teams on SE processes.
• Capture, validate and manage requirements and V&V strategies.
• Ensure consistency in user, system, design and safety requirements capture and tracking.
• Provide SME advice and responsibility for interface management of systems.
• Plan, develop, update SE artefacts (ConOps, RAMS, URDs, SRDs, VVRMs, ITEAPs).
• Prepare presentations and represent SE in stakeholder meetings.
