Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Systems Engineer to join an engineering team delivering complex software-intensive systems on a 15-month fixed-term contract in the South-East UK (hybrid).

The role covers requirements capture through to deployment, with collaboration across customers, project managers, software developers, infrastructure specialists and hardware engineers. A structured approach to engineering and clear technical documentation are essential.

Formación

• Degree in Systems Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
• Experience as Systems Engineer on complex software, technology or systems integration projects.
• Experience applying systems engineering principles across the full lifecycle.
• Experience eliciting, analyzing, decomposing, specifying and managing requirements.
• Strong understanding of system architecture, design, interfaces and integration.
• Experience documenting software interfaces and APIs (HTTP/S, REST, JSON).
• Knowledge of verification, validation, testing and acceptance principles.

Responsabilidades

• Lead requirements elicitation, analysis and decomposition for complex tech projects.
• Facilitate workshops to establish functional/non-functional requirements, constraints, dependencies and acceptance criteria.
• Design and document cost-effective technical solutions meeting objectives.
• Develop system architectures, designs, interfaces and integration strategies.
• Maintain requirements traceability across business objectives and system requirements.
• Analyse interfaces, data flows and interactions between software, infra and external systems.
• Define software interfaces and APIs (HTTP/S, REST, JSON).
• Support system boundaries, responsibilities and integration patterns.
