Job summary

Cathedral Appointments Ltd is recruiting for an experienced Supply Chain Planner to support manufacturing, food and drink, and distribution clients around Exeter with a Plymouth base. The role focuses on balancing demand, production capacity and stock to meet service targets while maintaining cash flow.

Qualifications

• Experience in a demand, supply, inventory or production planning role.
• Strong Excel skills and ERP/MRP experience.
• Analytical approach with the ability to turn data into recommendations.
• Good communication and relationship-building across departments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain demand forecasts using sales history, market insight and customer input.
• Set and manage inventory levels to meet service targets while keeping stockholding under control.
• Translate forecasts into purchasing and production plans, working closely with suppliers and operations.
• Monitor and report on KPIs such as forecast accuracy, stock cover and on-time delivery.
• Spot supply risks early and work with colleagues to resolve shortages or excess stock.
• Contribute to S&OP meetings and the continuous improvement of planning processes.
